Our partners and sponsors make all that we do possible. We extend our gratitude to all those who have invested in the Calgary Stampede and helped us create exceptional experiences for our community. Thank you.
The City of Calgary is a long-time partner of the Calgary Stampede. Along with providing our 100-year lease and support for our credit facilities, the collaboration furthers outreach into the community to enhance initiatives from civic events and celebrations, to our annual 10-day celebration. Various programs and activities both at Stampede Park and across the city touch citizens year-round to contribute to the cultural, social and economic well-being of our community.
The Government of Alberta, through Alberta Culture and Tourism, support a number of the Stampede’s programs and facilities through an operating grant. This generous grant helped: create opportunities for youth to learn about and engage with agriculture through programs like Aggie Days and Journey 2050; attract guests from around the world to share in our unique western heritage and culture through the July Stampede’s signature rodeo and chuckwagon races, western events, agriculture exhibits, local First Nations cultures and more; and enable our 49 volunteer committees to contribute their time and talent to bettering our community.
As well, was specifically directed in support of our tipi owners and families from Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Tsuut’ina and Stoney Nakoda nations to create a new pathway and entrance to Indian Village in the brand new ENMAX Park, and to revitalize the Stampede mobile stage, which engages and enhances community activities across southern Alberta.
The Government of Canada, through Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s AgriMarketing program, committed to enhance our international agriculture initiatives such as business to business engagement, publication and distribution of Profile magazine, and showcasing Canadian producers and practices. The Canada Alberta Job Grant (CAJG) and Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) programs contributed enable additional employment opportunities to support activities both year-round and with Stampede 2017.
The sponsors of the Calgary Stampede are passionate about our community. It is thanks to their vision and support that we are able to deliver world-class experiences during Stampede and year-round.
The Calgary Stampede Foundation is a charitable organization with a commitment to developing the potential of young people in our community by providing them with the means to become the leaders of tomorrow with roots in western heritage and values. The Foundation supports Stampede School, OH Ranch Education Program, The Young Canadians School of Performing Arts, Calgary Stampede Showband, 4-H Rodeo, 4-H on Parade and various youth scholarship programs.
