The Calgary Stampede is a volunteer-supported, not-for-profit community organization that preserves and promotes western heritage and values. With a core staff of 1,200 employees, the Stampede runs a variety of community programs and hosts more than 1,000 events throughout year. Another 3,500 employees are hired in July for the annual Stampede.
