They were joined by four other inspiring Calgarians who formed the team for the Stampede Shave. Shave for the Brave supportsthousands Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) and its mission to help young adults living with, through and beyond cancer. Calgary Stampedeof crosses straightened by StampedeRoyalty and Harry the Horse were also on hand to cheer on thevolunteers during Field of Crossesparticipants and even pick up the sheers to help shave some heads.Our volunteers showed up in a big way for the Calgary Food Banks Spaghetti Western Fundraiser. In total, 29 volunteerAlso in December, the Calgary Stampede once again proudly committees raised more than $13,000 in food and funds for the supported Pledge Day on 770 CHQR, a 12-hour live radio Calgary Food Bank in support of members in our communitybroadcast on the QR Calgary airwaves that is dedicated to facing food insecurity, kicking off the Food Banks city-widesupportinglocal childrens charities. Calgary Stampede volunteers helped straighten the thousands of crosses lined up beside Memorial Drive. The Community Projects & Development Committee (CPD)and Promotion Committee supported Global Calgarys Morning of Giving in December, an initiative that gives gifts and cash donations to Calgarians in need. The CPD committee provided gifts that were donated to children and Stampede President & Chair of the Board, Will Osler, along with Harry the Horse, joined in to share some Stampede spirit while the Promotion Committee Batter Boys served a hot pancake breakfast. The gifts made their way to the Magic of Christmas warehouse where they were Stampede volunteers at delivered to more than 800 families on Christmas Eve! the Field of Crosses'
