This years reception honoured 20 farm families, who were celebrated at a special reception and awards presentation, and later hosted atthe Rodeo. Sentinel Ranch Ltd. recognized as one of 20 Farm Families in 2022.Cutting Horse Futurity Returns to Stampede Park In September, North Americas top cutting horses entered the arenaat the annual Calgary Stampede Cutting Horse Futurity, presentedby Wrangler. One of the largest and most prestigious events of its kind in Western Canada, the Cutting Horse Futurity draws many of the best horses and trainers in the sport. More than 170 horse and rider pairs took part in this years event, vying for a share of the more than $250,000 in prize money and awards. This year, the Canadian Cutting Horse Association (CCHA) Finals and National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Aurora Circuit finals also took place in tandem with the Stampede Cutting Horse Futurity competition.Travis Rempel from Fort Langley, BC, took the top spot in the Open Futurity Finals on horse RH Smooth Frosty Cat at this years event.
