Horses, big and small, were part of the 2022 Pop Up Stampede initiative, for the second year of the special program, led by the Stampedes Community Projects & Development Committee, in partnership with Immigrant Services Calgary. Two dozen families new to our community were visited at their homes and white-hatted in the two weeks leading up to Stampede, giving them a taste of what the Stampede has to offer. I think once you bring a bunch of cowboy hats, some music and some horses, youre almost there.
