The Association of Zoos and Aquariums Conference event was a success, with over $200,000 donated! Royal LePage National Sales ConferenceInternational Pipeline Conference Global Morning of Giving The Energy Disruptors: UNITE ConferenceIn December 2024, the Calgary Stampede proudly supported Global Calgarys Morning of Giving, by generously donating gifts for children of all ages. Will Osler, President & Chair of the Board, joined in to spread some Stampede spirit!These gifts were sent to the Magic of Christmas warehouse, where they were carefully sorted and prepared for delivery.On Christmas Eve, Santa and his team delivered the gifts, as wellas 500 food hampers, to 900 families, nursing homes and hospitals across the city, spreading holiday cheer far and wide.Giddy Up with the Calgary Stampede Queens Alumni The Queens Alumni Committee held four signature Giddy Up events, plus one new one, in 2024. These programs offer unique Stampede experiences in a sensory-friendly environment for children in our community with disabilities. Giddy Up Aggie Days focused on sharing agriculture and animal fun in April. In June, Giddy Up guests were invited to experience Sam Centre at the brand new Giddy Up Sam event, just after the space opened. In early November, Giddy Up Rodeo saw mock-rodeo action take over the Nutrien Western Event Centre with teeter-totter bull riding, steer roping, stick-horse barrel racing and guided horse rides. In December, Santa paid a special visit at Giddy Up Christmas, where guests were treated to holiday games, crafts, a snowy sleigh ride and a gift from Santa!
