Community Event Bookings

The following Calgary Stampede committees are run by volunteers who are dedicated to bringing western spirit to the community. Select one or several of the options available then simply fill out the request form. Each committee will contact you individually regarding your request.

Please note, as much as committee members would love to attend every event, bookings are subject to availability. Please book early. Blackout dates are inclusive of July 1 to July 26.

The Downtown Attractions Committee feeds and entertains Calgarians and visitors at Fluor Rope Square (Olympic Plaza on the corner of 7th Avenue and Macleod Trail SE across from City Hall), and other locations in the downtown area during the 10 days of the Calgary Stampede! These volunteers are available to do Stampede barbecues, square dancing and other activities to make events throughout the year a hand clappin', toe tappin' good time!

Promotion Committee

The Promotion Committee consists of volunteers who promote the western spirit and values of the Calgary Stampede at many events year round. Activities include greeting and 'branding' guests, appearances by Harry the Horse - the Stampede's official mascot, games, and line-dancing. These ambassadors can also provide the Stampede stages and western entertainment.

Stampede Caravan

The Caravan Committee is the team that puts on Calgary's famous Stampede breakfasts. These energetic and fun volunteers will get out early in the morning, 'rain or shine', to provide a fabulous entertainment package for your event.

Stampede Royalty

Calgary Stampede Royalty consists of the First Nations Princess and Stampede Princess. Each year the reigning Royals attend hundreds of community and Stampede events as ambassadors of the Calgary Stampede, sharing and celebrating Stampede’s western heritage, cultures and community spirit locally and around the world.

Stampede Showband

The Stampede Showband has a proud and rich heritage that spans over 35 years. Traditions of excellence in music and performance are unparalled by any other Show Band in the world. As musical ambassadors for the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth -- the Calgary Stampede, the Stampede Showband has spread western spirit across the world stage.

Stampede Showriders

The Stampede Showriders are a dynamic group of young equestrians with a distinctive western flare. Today the equestrian team performs across Southern Alberta and has traveled to destinations in the United States and Europe. The Showriders perform musical rides several times a day and serve as a colour guard during the Calgary Stampede.
