Band of Outriders

Band of Outriders is an energetic, forty-piece ensemble, comprised of Calgary Stampede Showband alumni and other musicians from the Calgary area. Formed in 1991, Band of Outriders is known for their diverse musical repertoire – often contrasting traditional swing tunes and classical standards with rock and western favorites. Versatility is a key characteristic of the group. Members have performed at diplomatic events, weddings, and for raucous crowds in football stadiums and rodeo arenas. As Stampede ambassadors, Band of Outriders extend their musical version of western hospitality to local crowds and thousands of Calgary visitors every day during the annual Stampede. Band of Outriders makes over 50 appearances during the 10 days of Stampede.
