Cherie is a fourth-generation rancher with a passion for driving innovation as it pertains to how people perceive agriculture. She is a respected agricultural leader, having sat on numerous boards where principle, integrity and strong strategic management are key. Living by these principles, combined with her love of volunteering, Cherie was awarded with the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2022 and an Honorary Doctor of Laws (Hon. LLD) Degree by the University of Calgary in 2025.
