The Guest Bands Committee creates exceptional experiences for bands and the Stampede guest by providing musical performance opportunities for local ensembles as well as non-local ensembles where opportunities arise.
Specific Activities
Recruit marching bands from the Calgary area to attend the annual Calgary Stampede.
Provide the bands attending the Calgary Stampede with multiple performance opportunities, including those on Stampede Park, in community events throughout the city, and at the Calgary Stampede Parade.
Provide each band with transportation to and from Calgary Stampede organized events, and provide refreshments at their performances.
Coordinate and execute all details relating to the Showbands Live Production in the Scotiabank Saddledome during the Calgary Stampede.
