The Guest Bands Committee creates exceptional experiences for bands and the Stampede guest by providing musical performance opportunities for local ensembles as well as non-local ensembles where opportunities arise.
Specific Activities
- Serve as the first point of contact for bands interested in attending and performing at the annual Calgary Stampede.
- Through collaboration with Stampede Programming, other CS Committees and the community, identify and provide the attending bands with multiple performance opportunities, including on Stampede Park, throughout the city, and at the Calgary Stampede Parade.
- Facilitate and provide each band with transportation to and from Calgary Stampede organized events, and refreshments at their performances, as appropriate.
