Colour Guard Instructor

Alyssa’s journey with band started in 2013 when she had her first year in the colour guard section of the Calgary Stetsons Showband. She was in Stetsons for 3 years before auditioning for The Stampede Showband. She spent 4 seasons with the Stampede Showband from 2016-2019 and in 2018 she began instructing at the Calgary Round Up Band and found her true passion with teaching. Alyssa came to the Stampede staff originally as a volunteer in the winter season of 2020. She became a member of the colour guard instructional staff in September 2020.

In the outside world, Alyssa is taking courses to become a dog trainer and behavioural specialist. She spends her days working at a dog daycare working with dogs in many different aspects.
