Emily Wakaruk

Dance Instructor

Emily began her dance training at the age of three and has developed extensive experience across a wide range of disciplines, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, and acrobatics. A pre-professional dancer and choreographer within Calgary’s arts community, she is Acrobatic Arts certified and holds ADAPT Tap and Jazz certifications from Pre-Junior through Pre-Intermediate levels.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Dance at the University of Calgary, Emily has also completed Safe Dance Practice training, reinforcing her commitment to dancer health, wellness, and safety. As an educator, she is dedicated to fostering technical excellence, resilience, accountability, teamwork, and confidence in her students while providing a positive and supportive learning environment.

Emily continues to expand her artistic and instructional expertise through ongoing professional development, workshops, and performance opportunities. She is excited to return for another season with the Calgary Stampede Showband.
