John Meehan

John Meehan is a world-renowned clinician, composer, and producer in the marching arts, and comes to Calgary from the San Francisco Bay Area. John has been an integral part of the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps since 1994, helping lead them to an impressive 14 Drum Corps International (DCI) World Championship titles. A respected mentor and educator, John has a passion for supporting the growth of his students, both as performers, and great humans. For his impact on the activity and art-form, John was inducted into the DCI Hall of Fame in 2019.

As a clinician, John has lead events in Brazil, Canada, China, England, Ireland, Japan, and the United States; as well as performed on the “Monsters University” soundtrack, coordinated events for Super Bowl 50, the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco 49’ers, and has arranged music performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

John is thankful for his incredibly supportive wife Jackie, their three amazing children, and two rescue dogs.
