Ty McLellan

Drumline Instructor

Ty started his musical journey back in 2014 with the Calgary Round-Up Band, where he first discovered his passion for performing and being part of something bigger than himself. That experience led him to the Calgary Stetson Showband, where he continued to grow as both a musician and a leader. Eventually, he joined the Calgary Stampede Showband, a place that truly shaped who he is today and pushed him to reach new levels of skill and dedication.

Now, he has the incredible opportunity to give back as the Quad Tech for the Stampede Showband Drumline. It’s been a full-circle experience helping others learn and grow in the same environment that taught him so much.

Outside of band life, Ty loves drumming and making beats to all kinds of music. Whether it’s experimenting with different sounds or just going for a walk to clear his head, he is always looking for ways to stay creative and live life to the fullest.
